volunteers: General Information
The American Lung Association in Pennsylvania - Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Office and the Max and Lorraine Foundation will sponsor the 14th annual Camp AsthmaCadabra August 2nd through August 5, 2012. Please take a minute and mark these dates on your calendar.
We are asking once again for your help and to consider volunteering for Camp AsthmaCadabra 2012. Planning has already begun, and the camp committee needs to have an idea of the staffing situation. Our plans are to accept up to 60 children; our ability to do this depends on volunteer commitment. We hope you will consider helping.
All camp volunteers who have reached age 18 by August 2nd of this year are required to complete a PA State Police criminal background check as well as a PA Child Abuse History clearance. Click on the appropriate link in the sidebar on the right to go to a page with more information regarding each form.
If you are interested in volunteering for Camp, you may register in two ways. We PREFER that you register online. To begin the online registration process, click on “Online Registration” in the sidebar to the right.
You may also register by completing the Volunteer Form and returning it to the American Lung Association of Pennsylvania. Please do this as soon as possible since it takes the state at least 6 weeks to process the criminal record check (if mailing it) and child abuse history.
